Hello from King George Square in Brisbane and our beautiful Christmas tree!

Hej från King George Square och vår fina julgran i Brisbane!

Met up with my Australian born Swedish friend Jazz for the first time in 25 years.

It felt like we hadn't been apart...

Last time we saw each other was here in Brisbane 

- I was visiting my family and she lived here. 

Now, she resides in Sweden and this was the first time returning after moving to Sweden in 1991.

So happy and grateful we got a chance to catch - up!!

Var inne i den stora staden för att träffa min Australienfödda svenska kompis Jazz. 

Vi hade inte setts på 25 år, men det kändes som om vi sågs häromveckan...

Sist var också i Brisbane. 

Då var jag här på semester o hälsade på min familj och hon bodde här. 

Nu bor Jazz i Sverige och detta var första resan tillbaka sedan hon flyttade till Sverige 1991.

Jag är så glad och tacksam att vi fick chansen att träffas!!

A trip to H&M was a must - had to check out their Christmas range in person!

Brisbane Christmas tree is being lit - julgranen tänds inne i Brisbane!

På fredag den 25:e november tänds juleljusen på den stora granen inne i Brisbane! Det är också för övrigt också min födelsedag, så det känns extra speciellt ☺Som jag kanske har sagt innan - jag julpyntar inte före min föelsedag, men efteråt är det fritt fram!

On Friday the 25th of November, it's a big event in Brisbane - the Christmas season starts with turning on the Christmas lights on the big Christmas tree at King George Square. The 25th is also my birthday so it feels extra special. I've probably mentioned it before - I never put up any Christmas decor before my birthday, but afterwards it's ok to start in our house - full steam ahead!

Julmarknad i Brisbane - Swedish Christmas Market

It was time for the annual Swedish Christmas Market yesterday. New this year was that it was a Christmas Twilight Market between 6-9 pm instead of during the hottest time of the day - so much nicer! At 6pm, it's already dark, so all the fairy lights made the Christmas Market very cosy and christmassy!

Igår var det dags för den årliga svenska julmarknaden i Brisbane. Nytt för i år var att det var en kvällsmarknad istället under dagen när det är som varmast - mycket trevligare och juligare ☺ Det hade ju också hunnit bli mörkt så marknaden var väldigt mysig med all julgransbelysning!

Ran into amazing actor Robert Coleby (and his lovely Swedish wife, Lena) and got a bit star struck... ☺

Träffade skådespelaren Robert Coleby (och hans trevliga svenska fru, Lena) och var bara tvungen att föreviga mötet med ett foto... ☺

It was an awesome day with beautiful Queensland weather. It was sunny and around 35°C (95°F) Somehow, we still managed to get a bit of Christmas feel in subtropical Brisbane. Maybe the Swedish Christmas music helped a bit? ...and the Lucia procession too, of course!
